Emerging Voices Colloquium
Fourth Year Dissertation Presentations
Cobden Hall
15th - 18th January 2023
The Emerging Voices Colloquium was born in 2017, and this is where all stage 4 Arts & Humanities and English & History degree students present a twenty-minute paper on their dissertation topic and answer questions from the floor on their research. The event affords staff and students in Carlow College to see the wealth of research from all disciplines that is being carried out.
Looking at this year’s Emerging Voices colloquium the diversity of topics is evident and excellent. You can learn about, for example, unsung heroes, mythology and witchcraft, compromise and lessons to be learned, creativity, literature, crime and punishment, mental health, technology and social media, historical trauma, and lots more in-between. These Carlow College students are the ‘Emerging Voices’ of Arts & Humanities and English & History and the future of new knowledge in their chosen fields.Â
