Resistance to Zionism and Freedom of Palestinians Recovery of the Prophetic Tradition

 In this lecture Professor Jude Lal Fernando of the School of Religion, Theology, and Peace Studies, Trinity College Dublin, will consider the War on Gaza from a theological and geopolitical perspective. He will examine the question of genocide as it occurred during the Holocaust and ask is the same happening again in occupied Gaza against the Palestinians. He will ask the question if God was ‘dead’ in Auschwitz isn’t the same God dead in Gaza? Does God favor Israel more than any other people or does God take the side of any oppressed people whoever they are at any time in history? He will discuss the meaning of the recovery of the prophetic tradition amongst Jews, Christians and Muslims.
