Inspired by pedagogical models and methods implemented in ‘Core Curriculum’ and ‘Great Books’ programs at institutions such as Columbia University, The University of Chicago, and St. John’s Annapolis and Santa Fe, The Arts and Humanities Forum was founded by Lecturer in Philosophy, Dr. Anthony Barron and Stewart Quinn at Carlow College, St. Patrick’s in March 2023.
The Forum consists of weekly interdisciplinary discussions about canonical works and seminal issues from the arts and the history of ideas, thereby promoting collaborative learning among its participants.
The Arts and Humanities Forum will host a series of weekly discussions in Lambert’s Coffee House every Wednesday between 13:00 and 15:00.
