Carlow College Lecturer and Programme Director for the BA (Hons) in Social, Political & Community Studies programme, Steph Hanlon recently presented as part of a panel discussion at the Hope in Action conference held at the University of Oxford.

At the conference, Steph joined the panel session “Mobilising research for change: researchers as activists” and spoke about the role of academics in educating, agitating and mobilising for social change and political. She was joined on teh panel by Jessica Hewkin from University of Edinburgh and Velda Elliott from University of Oxford.

Hope into Action is a registered charity whose purpose is to enable churches to house the homeless. The Annual Conference was held on 16th March 2023.
