Dr Lisa Fortune is the Head of Student Services & Learner Supports at Carlow College with responsibility for the overall co-ordination of the Academic Resource Office and the delivery of the learner support services it provides. Lisa has over twenty years’ experience working with students in higher education, both as a lecturer and in academic support roles. She has recently completed her Doctorate in Education at Queens University, Belfast. Her research interests are in the area of inclusive educational practices, standards in Student Services and the importance of Student Support Services in enabling learners to succeed and thrive at higher education.
