Help with retrieving books or other resources

If you need assistance locating or reaching items on library shelves, we are happy to help—just ask at the library desk or approach any member of the team.

If you are registered with the Academic Resource Office – Disability Service, we can check availability and retrieve books or other materials from the shelves for you or your support worker to collect later. Please give 24 hours’ notice so we can have your items ready for collection.

If you need assistance searching the library catalogue, we are happy to help—just visit the Library Desk or email librarycc@carlowcollege.ie.

If the library’s print resources are not accessible, we may be able to acquire alternative formats on your behalf.

There is a lift located to the rear of the library. This gives access to the upper floor.

There is a height adjustable table available on the upper floor of the library.

If you are a student with a disability and have concerns about what to do in an emergency, please contact the Academic Resource Office – Disability Service – academicresource@carlowcollege.ie – to discuss a referral to the Fire Marshall in Building Services for a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).
