Hosted by Claire Brock and Ciara Doherty, that broadcast featured an interview with Zahir Uddin, member of the local Rohingya community, about the opportunities afford to him and his family when they came to Carlow. Following this, a panel discussion was held in the College’s P.J Brophy Library with Carlow College graduate, Cllr. Adrienne Wallace (Solidarity People for Profit), Cllr. Brian O’Donoghue (Fine Gael) and Cllr. William Paton (Labor).

The broadcast concluded with an interview of Carlow College Vice President, Dr Eric Derr, who spoke about the need for respectful conversation and debate around the issue of immigration.

There is a lot of misinformation out there. People are in their silos. People have their own viewpoints. It's really about opening [those silos] up and breaking through a lot of that misinformation.
