Dr Ida Milne speaks about the Great Flu Pandemic during conference at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum

Our European History Lecturer Dr Ida Milne spoke recently about the impact of the Spanish Flu on the Irish population during a conference held in Glasnevin Cemetery Museum in conjunction with the School of Histories and Humanities at Trinity College Dublin on October 23rd. The conference was hosted as part of an exhibition on the Great Flu Pandemic in Ireland 1918-19 in the Museum. The exhibition was held to mark the centenary of the influenza pandemic that killed millions worldwide and thousands across Ireland. Experts on the subject of the Influenza came together for the conference producing an engaging discussion on such an important topic.
