Proposals are invited for papers (in English or Irish), or panels of papers, from both undergraduates and postgraduates in Ireland on any historical topic and from those studying Irish history abroad.

Abstracts of no more than 250 words for 20 minute research papers (approx. 2,500-3000 words in length) should be submitted, along with a short personal biography of no more than 100 words.

Proposals are also invited for poster presentations. Posters should be A0 in size and may encompass any style or theme, similar to the criteria for written papers. Presenters should be prepared to speak for up to 10 minutes regarding their posters, with or without an accompany short paper.

All proposals should be submitted by email to: IHSA2023@carlowcollege.ie no later than Tuesday 31st January 2023. Abstracts and biographies should be submitted in the form of a word document attached to the email and should include researcher’s: full name, institutional affiliation and paper title.
