Congratulations to Dr Candice Condon on receiving a Teaching Hero Award

A huge congratulations to our Psychology Lecturer Dr Candice Condon who has received a Teaching Hero Award, as part of the 2020 student-led Teaching Hero awards by The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning and the Union of Students in Ireland.

This award is a credit to Dr Candice Condon’s hard work and positive influence on her students.

On receiving the award Dr Candice Condon commented:

‘I’m beyond thrilled to have received this award. To have the recognition from students means so much to me. It is a pleasure to teach our fantastic students at Carlow College St Patrick’s. They contribute so much to each class. During the past year especially, I am in awe at their resilience and how they adapted to such a new way of teaching and learning. It wasn’t easy, but we all got through it and hopefully, it will have made us stronger.’

The Awards are arranged by the National Forum in collaboration with the Union of Students in Ireland and other students’ unions nationwide, providing an opportunity for students across the country to recognise and celebrate outstanding teaching in our higher education institutions.
