Carlow College Lecturer in Creative Writing, Dr Derek Coyle featured in the Eat the Storms special podcast for Poetry Day Ireland on Thursday, 27th April 2023.
Eat the Storm is a Poetry Podcast for all poets, regardless of the stages of their career, to share their voices. The international podcast is hosted and produced by Irish poet Damien B. Donnelly.
Derek represented Carlow on the special podcast All-Ireland poetry special that saw poets read from every county in the country: 32 poets, 32 poems.
Dr Derek Coyle teaches two modules on writing poetry at Carlow College, St Patrick’s, ‘Writing Poetry: an introduction’, and ‘Advanced Poetry’. He also delivers a First-Year module on reading poetry, ‘The Virtues of Poetry: what poetry is and why poetry matters’.
