Biography

Hi, I am Rodrigo. I have obtained a degree in clinical psychology (“Title of Psychologist”) with a minor in statistics and data science by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Brazil, where I received funding to work in research from the Minas Gerais Research Funding Foundation and the Ministry of Education. I have obtained a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience of Language by the University of the Basque Country with research accomplished at the Basque Centre for Cognition, Brain, and Language (BCBL), where I defended the thesis “White-matter connections between the ventral occipito-temporal cortex and the inferior frontal gyrus: A diffusion-weighted MRI study”, with funding from the University of the Basque Country. I am a PhD research student at Ulster University (Northern Ireland), where I submitted my doctoral thesis and the viva voce is scheduled to take place on the 11th of December 2024 at 10:30 on the Coleraine Campus. I have received the Vice-Chancellor’s Research Studentship and Department for the Economy grants to work as a PhD researcher at Ulster University. I have taken active and crucial part in the production of 7 peer-reviewed publications. I have reviewed several manuscripts and grant proposals in a total of 41 referee reports across different journals and funders, including the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) of UK Research & Innovation (UKRI). I also develop data-analytic scripts in R and Python, and data-collection tools based on Python. Please find more information on my ORCID, Web of Science, and Scopus webpages and on my website.
