Why I chose Carlow College

It was close enough to travel to and from, and it has a real homely feel to it. The course offered me an informed understanding of several subjects which my life experience had touched upon over the last few years.

What I like most about my course

It very much feels like the course was written for, and geared towards the individual finding their own voice which appealed to me. It encourages debate and interaction with the lecturers who are extremely accessible and engaged with their students, something which isn’t a given in third level.

My interaction with Student Supports

Why I recommend Carlow College

The openness and interaction of students, lecturers, and staff is really refreshing to experience. It’s a real interconnected community. It feels like a home away from home. There’s a lovely feeling of everyone watching out for each other, and a good humour in the building from the canteen ladies through the student body.

The focus is very much on the student finding their place in the world and their own unique voice. From my own experience, I know first hand that this is scaffolded by the staff, whose purpose centres around creating an engaged, entertaining, and fun environment for learning. It honestly feels like the course was written for me.
