Summer and Semester Abroad Programs
Will there be a Semester Abroad programme in 2026/27 and 2027/28 academic years?
Our Semester Abroad Program for partnering US institutions will be running in Autumn / Spring semesters in 2026 / 27. The programme will remain unchanged and offer the same unique experience of studying in Ireland and immersing yourself in the Irish culture.Â
Similarly, our Summer Abroad Irish Experience programme will run in 2026 and 2027 as per usual. Â
Will there be changes to the modules available on the Semester Abroad programme?
In general, the majority of the modules normally scheduled will continue to be available for Semester Abroad students, subject to timetabling. Any changes to available modules will be communicated to the study abroad representative at your home institution. Â
As per norm, timetabling will be finalised after you arrive for your studies. Â
Will Student Support Services remain in place?
Yes. A full range Student Services will continue for the duration of your studies. This includes Â
- academic support ;
- library access ;
- IT services;Â
- student support and wellbeing services, such as health and counselling; and,Â
- career guidance. Â
Â
The College will ensure you continue to receive the same level of care, advice and assistance for the remainder of your studies. Â
What changes to the student experience are likely?
For the 2026/ 2 7 Academic Year, there will be a slightly lower number of students on-campus, however, class sizes for modules will remain much the same. Â
