ADHD – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a medical/neurobiological condition in which the brain’s neurotransmitter chemicals; noradrenalin and dopamine do not work as they should.
An estimated 5% of Ireland’s student population has ADHD. In 2023/24, 17% of students registered with a disability, learning difference or long-term health condition at CCSP had ADHD noted as a primary or secondary disability.
