Carlow College, St. Patrick’s proud to host the 2019 Carlow Arts Festival

This coming June the Carlow Arts Festival will celebrate its 40th anniversary and yet again they have presented a programme of events that surpasses all expectations. Here at Carlow College, St. Patrick’s we are delighted to host the festival again on our campus grounds. This year the programme features the Max Richter’s Sleep which has already been sold-out. It sits alongside a programme that has riches for everyone; from a brand new digital strand featuring a Virtual Reality programme, to an entirely free music programme made possible by the festival’s continued partnership with O’Hara’s Craft Beer.

This year 80% of the programme is entirely free and there are Pick your Price options for most of their ticketed events. Outdoor, Street-art and Spectacle as well as Family friendly work continues to be a significant focus of the festival, with the culmination of a year long collaboration with the community as the Saturday night spectacle. ARTWORKS and the associated exhibitions and events at VISUAL continue through to September.

Carlow Arts Festival marks a special time in the town’s annual calendar, providing an opportunity for everyone to experience something out of the ordinary, soak up the celebratory atmosphere and be part of the thrill of knowing that in the hands of exceptional artists anything is possible.
