Dr Ida Milne features on ARINS Podcast

Carlow College Lecturer in History, Dr Ida Milne, featured in this months ARINS: Analysing and Researching Ireland North and South podcast alongside Dr Ian d’Alton and host Rory Montgomery to discus the lives of Southern Irish Protestants, including her own experiences.

The conversation focuses on their 2019 co-edited collection of essays, Protestant and Irish: The minority’s search for place in independent Ireland and Ian d’Alton’s 2024, Southern Irish Protestants: Histories, Lives and Literatures.

The ARINS programme was established in 2020 as a partnership between the Royal Irish Academy and the University of Notre Dame’s Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies. ‘ARINS is a nonpartisan, evidence-based research initiative that enables academics, practitioners and policymakers to explore questions and policy options for Ireland—north and south. It seeks to engage recognised experts across the spectrum of disciplines, perspectives and points of view.
