‘Girls Take Over’

Today the College took part in the ‘Girls Take Over’ Initiative organised by Carlow Development Partnership.

The key objective of this initiative is to encourage girls to take on leadership opportunities in accordance with their interests and career preferences. Ten transition year students from St Leo’s College will be taking part where they will step into the role of a leader in an organisation for one hour to give them some experience of what it is to lead an organisation.

The student who ‘took over’ from Fr Conn was Racheal Diyaolu.  She was in the College today from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm. During her visit, Fr Conn brought Rachael to meetings with staff in the IT Department, the Marketing Department and also to meet with some students in the Carlovian Dining Hall, where she asked relevant questions and partook in discussions relevant to the departments.
