Community Engagement

Carlow College has a long tradition of engaging with our community through beneficial partnerships addressing key societal issues. We are committed to creating opportunities to work together and we believe that collaboration and partnership can best contribute to the ethical development of local, national and global communities and society. We are focused on creating long lasting relationships with our community to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

We have also integrated community development aspects within our degree programmes via our placement and community-based learning opportunities and through this we seek to produce graduates who are well-rounded, creative, critical thinkers who will shape the political, economic and social agenda in Ireland and abroad. We are a student-centred college, and we work with our students to prepare them for more than just employment.
