‘Sun stone’ on grounds of Carlow College showcased as part of KCLR’s Feasts and Festivals series

The stunning ‘Sun Stone’ on the grounds of Carlow College St Patrick’s was showcased on Sunday, 21st June as part of the Summer Solstice edition of KCLR’s Feasts and Festivals series.

Head Groundskeeper, Larry O’Toole, spoke to KCLR’s Angela Doyle Stuart to highlight the unique public art piece which was created in 1993 by German Sculptor Paul Schneider. Part of the Carlow Art Collection, it can be found on the front lawn of the College campus.

Aligned with the Summer Solstice, it’s hailed for “Connecting art, place, light and landscape in a really special way”.
