Carlow College, St. Patrick’s, is delighted to play a central role in the Entente Florale Europe Awards 2026, welcoming delegates from across Europe to a series of prestigious events taking place in Carlow from 18-20 September 2026. Carlow Town is hosting the 51st Entente Florale Europe Awards Ceremony, a renowned international competition that celebrates excellence in sustainability, community engagement, environmental stewardship and the creation of vibrant green spaces.
As part of the programme, Carlow College will host the official Welcome Meal and Reception on Friday, 18 September. Held in the historic surroundings of St. Patrick’s College, the event will bring together representatives from participating European towns and cities, members of the Entente Florale Europe jury, local dignitaries and invited guests for an evening celebrating Carlow’s culture, heritage and hospitality.
The College grounds will also provide the setting for a European Market on Saturday, 19 September, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the traditions, cultures and achievements of participating communities from across Europe. The market will be open to the public and forms part of a wider programme designed to encourage learning, connection and cultural exchange.
Carlow was selected to host the 2026 awards following its outstanding success in the 2024 Entente Florale Europe competition, where the town achieved a Gold Medal and received special recognition for its innovative sustainability and community projects.
