Biography

Dr Dermot Ryan is a priest of the Diocese of Ossory, ordained in 2001. After graduating from Carlow College he was assigned Curate in Ferrybank (2001-2004) before undertaking post-graduate studies at the Gregorian in Rome. Having completed this in 2010, he returned his native diocese to serve as Curate of Mooncoin (2010), Chaplain of St. Kieran’s College (2011-2013), Curate of Thomastown (2013) and President of St. Kieran’s College, Kilkenny (2013-Present). He also serves as the Director of Adult Faith Development for the Diocese of Ossory. In addition to his diocesan responsibilities, he is an invited lecturer at the Pontifical University, Maynooth and Carlow College.
