Semester 1 Arrangements for ALL Students

Here are some of the arrangements for Semester 1 next year, so that you can start planning and make arrangements.

We are working to make this coming year a mainly on-campus experience for you:

  • Students should plan to attend face-to face classes in Semester 1.
  • Carlow College is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all staff and students and will adhere to government guidelines when addressing our full return to campus. We will apply all the regulations on face covering and guidelines on sanitising etc.
  • There will be a need to deliver some course content online, combined with face-to-face cases.
  • We are planning for the dining hall, library, student support and administrative areas of the university to be fully operational on campus when you return.
  • Timetables will be available at induction

Continuing/Returning Students for 2021/22

For those of you continuing on your programmes next semester, we have a positive update.

If your programme is normally campus-based, then in line with our ambition for maximising your experience and government policy, you will be back on campus as much as is possible and safe this year.

Advice from the Department of Health is that it is reasonable to plan on this basis – however, everyone acknowledges that we may have to adapt at short notice should circumstances change during the year.
