Dr Ida Milne to speak as part of the Dublin Festival of History

Dr Ida Milne will speak on ‘Influenza, War and Revolution in Ireland, 1918-19’ online on Wednesday 23 September at 7pm as part of the Dublin Festival of History. Dr Milne will be talking with Sarah-Anne Buckley about the 1918-19 influenza epidemic, which killed more than 50 million people, and infected between one fifth and half of the world’s population. It is the world’s greatest killing influenza pandemic, and is used as a worst case scenario for emerging infectious disease epidemics like the coronavirus COVID-19.

This is sure to be a great event but booking is required. Find out more here.
