Carlow College, St. Patrick’s, is delighted to play a central role in the Entente Florale Europe Awards 2026, welcoming delegates from across Europe to a series of prestigious events taking place in Carlow from 18-20 September 2026. Carlow Town is hosting the 51st Entente Florale Europe Awards Ceremony, a renowned international competition that celebrates excellence in sustainability, community engagement, environmental stewardship and the creation of vibrant green spaces.

As part of the programme, Carlow College will host the official Welcome Meal and Reception on Friday, 18 September. Held in the historic surroundings of St. Patrick’s College, the event will bring together representatives from participating European towns and cities, members of the Entente Florale Europe jury, local dignitaries and invited guests for an evening celebrating Carlow’s culture, heritage and hospitality.

The College grounds will also provide the setting for a European Market on Saturday, 19 September, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the traditions, cultures and achievements of participating communities from across Europe. The market will be open to the public and forms part of a wider programme designed to encourage learning, connection and cultural exchange.

Carlow was selected to host the 2026 awards following its outstanding success in the 2024 Entente Florale Europe competition, where the town achieved a Gold Medal and received special recognition for its innovative sustainability and community projects.

Carlow College is proud to support this significant international event and looks forward to welcoming visitors from across Europe to campus as part of a celebration that highlights the importance of sustainability, community pride and international collaboration.

Our well-spaced workstations provide quiet, productive zones equipped with ergonomic seating and ample lighting, complemented by accessible PCs for research, writing, and multimedia tasks.

A dedicated wellness corner encourages brief breaks, mindfulness, and restful pauses, featuring comfortable seating and calming cues to help maintain focus and balance during busy days.

A jigsaw area invites mindful, collaborative activity between tasks, with tables that accommodate small groups or solo problem-solving.

The book recycle and swap shelf allows students to refresh their reads while contributing to sustainable stewardship.

The overall layout emphasises clear sightlines and logical zoning, making it easy to transition from quiet study to social interaction. create a welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning, reflection, and connection.
