Application for first year entry to all full-time undergraduate courses at Carlow College is made through the CAO. Online application at is now the preferred method of application. Application Information

  • No extension to closing dates will be allowed.
  • Using a single application you may choose from an entire range of courses categorised as ‘Level 8’ or ‘Level 6/7’.
  • You may apply for up to ten courses in each category.
  • Your choices on once list do not affect your choices on the other list.
  • Make sure you list your courses in genuine order of preference.
  • Watch out for important deadlines.
  • If eligible for an offer you will receive an offer in the Round relevant to your application. Return offer acceptances notices on time.

  2. Leaving Certificate (back to 30 years)
  3. FETAC full awards
  4. GCE/GCSE 
  5. Other School Leaving Exams outside Ireland
  6. NCVA Level 2/3 (completed in 2001 or earlier)
  7. Further Education, Higher Education
  8. Mature (23 years old on or before the 1 January in the year of  application)
