Dr Debra Snoddy is a lecturer in Theology and Biblical Studies at Carlow College. Upon completion of her B.A. in Arts and Theology at the Pontifical University, Maynooth, Debra pursued her post-graduate studies in Theology and Biblical Studies at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium and was awarded a first class honours Masters Degree in Theology and an S.T.L. in Sacred Scripture. She also successfully completed a first class honours Masters Degree in Family and Sexuality Studies in the Faculty of Medicine at Louvain. In 2014, Debra was awarded the degrees of Ph.D. and S.T.D. from the Faculty of Theology in Louvain for her work on the Gospel of John.
She is a member of the Research Group for the Study of the Johannine and Pauline Literature at the Faculty of Theology in Louvain as well as the European Biblical Association and is an excutive member of the Irish Biblical Association. Publications include the co-authoring of Parish Pastoral Councils: A Formation Manual (Dublin: Veritas, 2010).
