Dr Anne Holton is a Sister of Mercy and a native of Clonaugh, Moyvalley, Co. Kildare. She holds a Doctorate in Theology and Religious Education and, in addition to lecturing at Carlow College, works as the Post-Primary Advisor in Religious Education in the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin. She has studied at NUI-Galway and Mount Oliver, Dundalk in Ireland. In the United States she studied at St. Michael's in Vermont, Boston College and Harvard University. She completed her doctorate at Christchurch, Oxford. Her primary publications are: A liberating Spirituality in Religious Education (2002) and Daily Joy: A Collection of Well-Loved Spiritual Writings (2012).
