Eligibility for this course includes:
- An honours degree in Applied Social Studies or equivalent academic/professional qualification to degree level in relevant profession.
- In very exceptional cases, a Diploma in Applied Social Studies or equivalent qualification will be considered.
- Being currently and continually employed in a social care setting open to working from a therapeutic perspective is desirable.
- Satisfactory performance at interview.

*The MATCC is currently completing its revalidation process with QQI and we are now inviting applications for the programme retitled as Masters in Leadership in Therapeutic Child and Social Care commencing in October 2018. This advanced-practice course has been developed for Social Care Workers and practitioners in the fields of Residential and Community Child Care, Social Work, Education, Psychology, Play Therapy, Child Psychotherapy and other disciplines that work therapeutically with individuals and their families in residential or community settings. The course retains the ethos and style of the MATCC. It is taught over two years, one day a week and has a maximum class group size of 16 students.
