Areas of Interest

Pádraigín Caesar is Acting Coordinator of Catechetics and Teaching Placement Programme and lecturer in Creative Studies- Music. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in the Music Industry, both as an amateur and professional recording and working artist with Warner Brothers London. Her chosen instruments are the Irish Harp, Concert Harp, Electric Harp, and Voice. She is a Grammy Award winning recording artist having recorded with The Chieftains on the Celtic Harp album. In addition to her music experience she is a qualified registered teacher and has worked in both the Primary (General Education and Special Education) and Post Primary Irish Education system teaching History, Music and Religious Education. She has also studied and lectured at Boston College as a Fulbright Scholar in Music. She is an active member of the IFAA and IMRO and continues to work and perform both in Ireland and abroad. She is a fluent Irish speaker.
