Area of Interest
Dr Galloway's research interests lie within the fields of the historical geography, economic history and environmental history of later medieval and early modern Britain and Ireland. He has published widely on the theme of the interaction of town and country, including case-studies of London and Drogheda. He has also undertaken studies of later medieval climate change and coastal flooding, urban provisioning and fuel supply, coastal fishing and Scottish migration to England. Dr Galloway is a contributing researcher for the Océanides Association, and regularly presents the results of his research at international conferences.
