Carlow College, St. Patrick's & Trinity College Dublin Public Lecture; “Religious Language according to Three Irish Bishops"

Dr Kenneth Pearce, (Philosophy, Trinity College Dublin) will present a lecture on “Religious Language according to Three Irish Bishops” on 14 November 2017, at 1pm, in Cobden Hall, Carlow College, St. Patrick’s. 

This joint initiative between Carlow College, St. Patrick’s, and Trinity College Dublin aims to promote engagement with the humanities in Ireland through public lectures, conferences, symposia and the development of new research networks.The lectures, all delivered by leading experts in the field, have served to illuminate key aspects of Irish history and culture and allowed for reflection on the forces and phenomena that have shaped the development of Ireland over the centuries. They have encompassed a number of major themes including migration, revolution, commemoration, youth and political culture. The lecture series also forms a key element in the development of a four-year inter-disciplinary programme in Irish history and culture entitled 'Reimagining Ireland' which is currently running at Carlow College.
